The knowledge of high efficiency places three digit million orders

The knowledge of high efficient boiler plants from Aalborg Engineering has been spread around Europe providing the company with more incoming orders.

In the first six weeks of the second quarter of this year contracts in the amount of a three digit million DKK range for two projects in respectively Belarus and Turkey have been signed. The growths of incoming orders seem to be constant for the coming years and are creating further recruitments.

Recruitments and organisational changes

"Our focus lies on developing our organisation in order for us to ensure that we have the right skills as well as the capacity to execute our signed contracts and to control our growth" Sales Director Mr. Bent Have Johnsen says. "We are in a position that our positive business development has provided us with several new employees from the company from which Aalborg Engineering originally originate. That gives us the possibility of a much faster integration in the company."

"The growth has meant that we have been forced to adjust our organisation which has grown by a dozen of employees with the last year - the majority being engineers. And more will come"

Faster than expected

" In continuation of an order from Siemens in the autumn 2010 we have made a new agreement to deliver an identical plant to electricity and steam to one of their customer in Belarus" Bent Have Johnsen says. "With the design of the first plant we made it possible to make a double up on the capacity, but we did not expect to deliver an identical plant within the next two-three years".

Siemens preferable partner in Europe

"As a part of our strategy we have been working to become one of Siemens preferable supplies of boiler plants in Europe. We delivered the first plant in 2001 and we have been working to achieve this very important business status. It has been our intention to deliver two plants per year to Siemens. With their latest order we have received three orders in total since March last year."

New order from Turkey

It is also the knowledge of Aalborg Engineering that is the reason for another large order from Turkey which we now consider as our home market. We have installed the majority of our European plants in Turkey and our new customer, AGE Denizli Dogalgaz Eletrik Üretim A.S, is building their first plant - a combined cycle power plant for electric production. This company has until now produced electric power based on hydro power. We were in competition with five to six other companies but once again we won because of our high efficiency and operating flexibility. The client wanted to have a plant that was able to produce electricity when the price is as high as possible and we were able to fulfil their requirements.

Faster payback time

We are constantly working on optimising our plants in order for us to maintain the most effective plants in the business. This means that we often have higher costs on the construction part than our competitors but we still win because of our fast payback time.

EKF ensured the finance

Lately we have been able to start up another order from Turkey as the finance has been settled. It has been done through among others Eksport Kredit Fonden with whom we have worked on project financing for almost ten years.

New product is presented in Milano

Last week Aalborg Engineering participated in the Power Gen conference in Milano which is the biggest European energy conference. Aalborg Engineering was able to present a new product - SG 10 (steam gen) - to their visitors. It is a new steam producing heat recovering plant which shall help to create even more growth for the company from Aalborg.
