In September 2003 Aalborg Engineering signed a contract with Dalkia Utilities Services plc to supply a new steam boiler for their CHP complex in Huddersfield, United Kingdom. The design and engineering activities commenced in July 2003 based on a letter of intend and a pre-engineering agreement.

The contract covers design, procurement, production, erection and commissioning of a complete oil & gas fired boiler plant.

As the boiler shall be capable of conversion to turbine exhaust gas firing in the future the SteamGen™ 6 HRSG has been selected for the project. The boiler front has been modified to suit register type burners.
